RUSSELL & Murphy Chemist has been a familiar sight on Oldpark Road
for over 30 years, and current pharmacist Timothy Combe has been a fixture for
the last 15 years.
"The great thing about being here so long is that I know my customers by
their first names, and they know mine," Timothy said. "That is important,
as it’s a very personal business."
Backed up by an experienced team who have also been at Russell & Murphy for
a number of years, Timothy and his staff aim to give a friendly, professional
service to everyone who walks through their door.
"We are always here for professional help and guidance," explained
Timothy. Advice is freely given by the fully qualified staff, and there is a
separate room available for private consultations.
"We're independent, which means that, as principal pharmacist, when
you call in it will be me you normally see," said Timothy. Being independent
has also kept a local, community feel to the pharmacy that allows them to give
their patients a more personalised service.
It's this history of personalised service that everyone at Russell & Murphy

A collection and delivery service is available, with prescriptions collected
from GP surgeries free of charge for all customers, and delivery available to
the elderly, housebound and people who are unable to get to the pharmacy.

...for dispensed medicines
The pharmacy is where you go for medicines and for
the pharmacist's advice on how to take them. Pharmacists are trusted health professionals
whose job is to help people to get the best out of their medicines. They know
exactly what's in your medicine and will be happy to answer any questions. You
can be sure that your pharmacist will see that your medicine is at the right
strength, in the right dose and will check that you know how to take or use it
properly. They will also cross reference any other drugs you are currently taking.
